Last week saw the Senate Finance Committee starting its hearings on the state budget bill passed by the House (with some pointed criticism from the SFC chair about the House’s version of the bill), two bills relating to special education passing their first chamber, and the governor signing the first major bills passed by the Legislature – and saying she plans a special session later in the year.
